We rented a cabin in Arnold last weekend with Nate, Jessica, Callan & Oscar. Kids and adults alike had a fantastic time! It's a great little area and the weather was perfect. There wasn't any snow on the ground when we arrived, but Friday night it snowed a couple of inches and just a few miles up Highway 4 there was plenty of snow and a few good sledding hills! We toured a cave on our way home and stopped for lunch in the quaint little town of Angels camp...
Cooper's new favorite phrase is "Uh-Oh" and we heard it very often at Grandma and Grandpa's - there are so many fun things to get into at their house! Here is a clip of Coop's new phrase and of him helping out in the kitchen. (My favorite part is Kennedy's reaction to Cooper taking over her pancakes - sibling rivalry has begun!)
The Henselmann boys celebrated their first birthdays in December (Max: 12/4 & Cooper 12/13). Yaya & Opa came out from New York; Grandma & Grandpa came up from LA, as did Andrea & Xavo... and several other local family & friends put in appearances as well. Max at least stayed awake through birthday cake - Cooper on the other hand, has some party animal training to do!
Wow - boys are a lot of energy and mischief! Kennedy as a toddler did not even come close to preparing us for Cooper "Rampage" Henselmann... Since he has started walking, he has discovered a whole new world of activities. His favorite game is to grab the paper towels - and run!
Kennedy prepares for a future in reality game shows as she eats a cricket lollipop... Apparently the kid is hard up for candy! See the video for a closer look! YUMMY!
Cooper is on the move! He's been taking a step here and there for a few weeks now, but has finally figured out how to string them together. This video was taken over the weekend & he's already gotten better - last night he walked across Leah & Patrick's kitchen. Look out world, here he comes!
